Eng Established Global Advantage International Inc. in 2002, after 10 years of significant compliance safety & international approvals experience with CSA International (Senior Medical Device Engineer) & UL Canada. In 2004, Global Advantage won the Chinese Canadian Entrepreneurs' award for "Best Start Up" and remain as one of the largest EMC lab in Toronto. Garry serves as a guest speaker to Seneca College and maintains a high profile in the Professional Engineers' product safety community. He holds an Engineering degree from Ryerson University. Doug McIntyre, Vice President - CA With 39+ years of experience as an executive in fast growth, high tech, public companies, including Xenos Group and Barringer Technologies (now Smith Detections), Doug serves as the VP of Global EMC Inc. Formerly a Chartered Accountant with KPMG, his technology focus comes from his industry experience as well as the former Chair of the York Technology Association, Champion of The Mentoring Partnership, coaching immigrants to gain Canadian business experience, and Co-Chair of the Markham Stouffville Prostate Cancer Network. Ashwani Malhotra, Business Development - P. Eng., M. Sc. Eng. Ashwani Malhotra joined the Global team in 2005 to work with new and emerging technologies in certification and test industry. His focus is on EMC, Wireless and Laser testing. With a client focused approach to compliance solutions, Ashwani and the Global EMC team quickly built the business through the initial years and continues to support consistent growth. Previously, Ashwani served as a Test & Design Engineer with both ATI (now AMD) Technologies and Glaxo SmithKline after graduating with Masters of Science in Engineering from Dalhousie University. Ashwani is responsible for business development, client relations and strategic partnerships to move the business forward. Scott Drysdale, EMC Lab Manager - NARTE Scott Drysdale joined Global EMC Inc as the EMC Lab Manager and bringing with him over a decade & a half (16 years) of EMC experience. Scott is responsible for our various international accreditations, technical staff training, and EMC operations. Scott previously served as the senior EMC technical specialist at an independent commercial EMC laboratory in the Ottawa region and as a Lead Test Engineer at Cisco Systems in San Jose, USA. Scott is NARTE certified and is an active IEEE EMC society member including being an IEEE symposium technical guest speaker. Scott ensures continued client satisfaction from leading our technical staff to the monitoring of EMC test programs and technical consultation. In addition to managing various test programs and client assistance, Scott is responsible for the daily operations in the EMC lab. Larry Cook - Sales Manager A sales industry veteran, Larry possesses more than 29 years sales experience with SPAN, Pylon Electronics & EPM with a wide range of sales experience in the high-tech industry and the evolving wireless sector. A member of the SMTA, Larry currently is responsible for sales management at Global EMC Labs. Raymond Au, Electrical and EMC Specialist - B.Eng. Raymond has a background in Electrical Engineering and possesses in-depth product safety (UL,CSA, TUV) testing experience and 3 years of hands-on EMC testing. Raymond is responsible for EMC test operations as an EMC specialist. Min Xie, EMC Specialist - B.Eng. Educated at Ryerson and Waterloo Universities, and now serving as a specialist in the Electrical Engineering field, Min has several years of hands-on technical EMC experience; Min's specialization lies in engineering applications of electronic systems and he has a background in client management. Sanjiv Vyas, EMC Project Engineer - B.Eng. With more than 15 years of regulatory engineering experience from India, Sanjiv has in-depth experience in the operation of EMC lab environments. Serving as an EMC Project Engineer., Sanjiv brings significant knowledge of testing requirements, quality control procedures and regulatory standards. Linly Dam, Business Coordinator Linly has 13 years of high-profile executive office administrative experience. Linly also possess hands-on experience with business accounting systems and an in-depth knowledge of the corporate business environment to support her role as business co-ordinator. Advisory Team John Mowbray - Senior EMC Advisor John possesses more than 36 years of EMC testing and compliance experience gained while serving as a design engineer, and later, Senior EMC Manager of NRC in Waterloo. John is highly active in the EMC community and serves as the chairman of IEC Canada and the EMC committee as well as an active CISPR 16 Standards committee member. John also maintains an independent EMC consulting service and works closely with Global EMC when unique design issues arise from time to time. Professor Paul Fabry, Senior Advisor (Medical Devices) - P. Eng. Paul Fabry gained extensive experience as a Manager of the Medical Devices division at CSA International before retiring in 2006. He serves as a Professor of Engineering at the University of Toronto and sits on CNC/IEC SC62D Medical Electrical Equipment Standards (IEC 60601-1) Committee. He continues to bring senior EMC experience; he also serves as Global's Senior Advisor for Electrical Medical Devices. |
